İmbat Rooftop Delivers Up to 29% Savings in Operating Expenses
İmbat continues to support the financial sustainability of commercial and industrial investments through packaged Rooftop solutions designed to reduce the operating costs associated with conventional HVAC systems.
According to engineering analyses, İmbat Rooftop Units can provide up to 15% CAPEX advantage, depending on the project, compared with traditional Chiller and Air Handling Unit (AHU) combinations, while delivering up to 29% savings in operating expenses (OPEX) through lower energy consumption.

In HVAC projects, equipment purchase costs represent only the beginning of the overall financial equation. The true economic performance of a system becomes clear once it enters its operational phase.
Drawing on 35 years of engineering experience, İmbat introduces a “Lower CAPEX, Even Lower OPEX” approach for commercial buildings and industrial facilities through packaged systems that eliminate the energy required to circulate water through extensive piping networks.
Eliminating Pumping Costs and Additional Hydronic Loads
In conventional HVAC architectures based on a Chiller and AHU combination, circulation pumps must operate continuously to move water through the piping system and enable thermal transfer.
This circulation process alone can result in approximately 7.5 kW of additional hourly energy consumption.
In a medium-sized commercial project — based, for example, on an airflow requirement of 100,000 m³/h and 650 kW cooling capacity — this additional load can create a significant impact on annual energy costs.
İmbat Rooftop systems eliminate the need for water circulation and external piping through their compact packaged architecture.
As a result, the energy required for circulation pumps can be reduced to 0 kW, removing this additional operational burden completely.
29% Reduction in Total Energy Costs
The simplified water-free architecture and optimised power management of İmbat Rooftop units can reduce hourly cooling power demand from approximately 199 kW to 130 kW.
When the annual operating hours of both cooling and heating modes are taken into account, the elimination of energy losses associated with traditional systems can result in a net energy cost reduction of up to 29%.
This level of efficiency can create annual financial savings amounting to tens of thousands of euros for facility operators.
Six Times the Initial Investment Saving in Just One Year
Engineering data also demonstrates the long-term financial impact of selecting the right HVAC architecture.
In the reference project, İmbat Rooftop systems provide approximately 11% CAPEX savings during the purchasing and installation phase by eliminating the need for a dedicated plant room, extensive piping infrastructure and external automation panels.
However, the most striking result is the operational return.
After only one year of active operation, the savings achieved through reduced OPEX can reach six times the amount saved during the initial equipment investment.
This demonstrates that sustainability and energy efficiency are not only environmental priorities, but also powerful financial investment strategies.
İmbat continues to demonstrate that true financial efficiency in HVAC should be evaluated not only at the purchasing stage, but throughout the entire operational lifetime of a system.
