Imbat’s journey, which began in 1991 in a modest 30-square-meter office, has evolved into a modern production facility spanning 10,000 square meters today. Over the past 35 years, Imbat has not only manufactured HVAC equipment but has grown alongside its stakeholders, built strong trust, and most importantly, contributed lasting value to the industry. Today, Imbat stands as a global brand reaching more than 50 countries across five continents, carrying the collective efforts of thousands of people within its name.

Co-founder Kerim Gümrükcüler summarizes the core values behind Imbat’s success with these words:

General Manager and co-founder Nuriye Gümrükcüler emphasizes that Imbat represents more than a company:

To mark this special anniversary, Imbat celebrates by amplifying the voices of those who made this journey possible. Interviews conducted with team members who joined the company at different stages reveal not only memories but also how Imbat’s corporate culture has evolved over time. Some grew alongside the company, some strengthened its strategic direction, while others contributed their technical expertise to global solutions. Though each story is unique, common themes emerge: shared dedication, long-term loyalty, and the pride of achieving success together.
One of the individuals who shares this pride is Taner Kunt, who has led Imbat’s financial management for many years. Actively contributing to the company’s financial operations, Kunt expresses his motivation as follows:
“Leaving a mark through export initiatives and investments has always inspired me.”
With a similar passion, Levent Özdemir, who joined Imbat’s R&D department seven years ago, has played a role in designing hundreds of Imbat-branded units. Summarizing his approach, he states:
“Every project asked its own question, and we searched for the answers. Every product carries the trace of a vision and engineering expertise.”
According to Özdemir, this engineering depth is one of the key factors that has enabled Imbat to become a competitive and influential brand in international markets.
At the heart of Imbat’s corporate success lies not only technical expertise but also deep respect for people and their contributions. The company strengthens internal commitment by recognizing employee contributions not only within production processes but also throughout their long-term professional development. One of the strongest examples of this culture is Ramazan Gümüş, who joined Imbat as a technical draftsman and today serves as After-Sales Services Manager. Reflecting on his journey, Gümüş says:

Another remarkable example of Imbat’s corporate culture is Yusuf Okal. Starting his journey as an intern, he now leads the Refrigeration Department. Having spent 18 years under the Imbat roof, Okal experienced not only professional growth but also significant milestones in his personal life alongside the company. He left for military service from Imbat and resumed his career upon returning; his marriage was even featured in the company’s internal magazine at the time. Today, he is a father of three. Highlighting how his personal journey intertwines with the company’s growth, Okal explains:
“My family, Imbat, and I have grown together.”
Over its 35-year history, this philosophy has been crowned with numerous achievements. Imbat became Türkiye’s first Eurovent-certified rooftop manufacturer. The company introduced innovations ranging from six-pipe chiller systems and aircraft air-conditioning units to CRAC and In-Row solutions for data centers, as well as Free Cooling technologies. The Perseus Rooftop Unit, introduced in 2024, stood out as one of Europe’s most efficient products with its outstanding SEER and SCOP values. Behind these achievements lies a strong R&D structure, international collaborations, and a highly capable team.
While Imbat looks back on its 35-year journey with well-deserved pride, it also moves forward with the awareness that this success story is far from complete. With a long-term vision extending toward its 100th anniversary, Imbat remains committed to setting higher goals, taking stronger steps, and building deeper relationships with its stakeholders.
